“We throw parties every night in all of our restaurants, but in Vegas, it’s a real party,” says Humm. “This is a discrete place with a high level of service where everybody knows you, everybody recognizes you, and treats you as an individual.” But at the same time, the place is playful and fun, too. “I think anybody that really likes lifestyle but who’s not necessarily craving something that’s pumping,” says Zobler. Until now, there hasn’t really been a place in Vegas quite like it. “We’re trying to create something that brings a certain sense of intimacy, but to also seize upon the grandeur and the theatricality of Las Vegas,” says Guidara. There are also multiple spaces for private dining and cocktails.

Decked out with amber lighting and lots of mahogany, it will be the place to go for that roast chicken, plus other exciting dishes like smoked caviar and tartares prepared tableside.
The bar, decorated in copious amounts of wine-red velvet, serves food all day and hosts live music performances at night, while the dinner-only restaurant is set to open in November. NoMad Las Vegas offers 293 accommodations with minibars and laptop. “The overall feel of it is a little bit more playful, a little bit more flamboyant.” Jacques Garcia, who designed both hotels in New York and Los Angeles, has retained signature elements across all 293 rooms, like leather headboards, steamer trunk minibars, and original artwork curated by be-poles, the Parisian design studio. NoMad Las Vegas offers its guests a full-service spa, an outdoor pool, and a sauna. I think where it’s different is in the color palette: it’s more influenced by the desert, there are more bright colors than there are in New York, which is a little more moody and a little darker,” he says. If you were to open your eyes and not know where you were, says Andrew Zobler, founder of the Sydell Group, you’d still know you were in a NoMad hotel. Remember that 18th-century fireplace from France? There’s another one of those, plus an 18th-century French staircase. That famous chicken for two served tableside? Serve chicken and steak and fish for two. Those gorgeous double height bookshelves everyone loves in the NoMad bar in New York? Make them triple height.
